Me, In a conch shell

My History

I've known I wanted to pursue marine biology since I was nine years old. I knew my passion was unparalleled when my plushie collection totaled over 100 frogs. My curiosity only grew in school, as did my frustration, when we studied space far more than we studied the ocean. While other kids were reading Harry Potter at the library, you could find me in the non-fiction section reading animal encyclopedias. As a recent Rollins College graduate, I accepted an Environmental Research Internship with the Smithsonian Marine Invasions Lab, as well as a Laboratory Assistant position at Bigelow Larboratory of Ocean Sciences, yet both were cancelled due to Covid-19. I am a believer that things all happen for a reason, and am thrilled to now begin my career with The Jackson Laboratory in Bar Harbor, Maine. I am so excited at what the future holds, the research yet to discover, and the unknowns waiting to be explored.
